Milestones, Memories and Mountaintops.

"While God instructs his people over and over again to remember all his great deeds, he doesn't call us to live in the past. Memories are intended to be fuel for future faith. They aren't intended to become an alternative reality in which we choose to hide from the present challenges. God's promise is that he's doing something worth living for now. And it's happening in front of our very eyes. The tragedy is that we may not even see it."

Look back on the times when you've felt closest to God. It may bring back some great emotions, but getting beyond those emotions and figuring out what that experience(s) is leading you to do now is even more important. Sometimes we see what God was doing in a given situation far after the situation has ended. What are those times and what are there for?
